AN INTERVIEW WITH
PINKIE PROMISE

Who/what inspires your music?
ali: we write a lot about things that have happened to us and we all have different tastes that mix together and create our sound 
 

How did you come up with the name?
lola: my bass teacher told me that when he was in high school he wanted to be in a pop punk band called pinkie promise, so i took the name and now we’re a pop punk band called pinkie promise!
 


How would you describe your sound?
leah: we mix of a lot of genres like ska, pop punk, and emo to make a fusion 
 


How did the members meet?
abby: we all met at a music school and we were good friends for a while before we eventually got the idea to make a band
 


If you had no choice but to become a cover band, who would you cover?
ali: definitely the used 
 


What is the hardest part about being in a band?
lola: putting yourself out there and getting gigs can be really difficult especially if you’re a newer band in the scene
 


What is your end goal?
abby: to be hot, sexy, rich, and famous 
 


If someone wrote a book about your band what would it be titled?
ali: i partied with pp
 


If a middle aged white man wrote a review on your band what would it most likely say?
abby: i’m so glad kids these days are finally learning what real music is
kaelynn: if they listen to our lyrics they’re gonna call us sjw's
 


What is the craziest thing you've experienced as a band?
ali: we competed at the houston rodeo in march and there were so many people there it was crazy
 


Which song of yours was the most fun to write & make?
lola: i think grace because it was the first time we wrote as a band and it was really fun to write about wanting to beat someone up
 


What helps bond you as a band?
kaelynn : we see each other almost every single day so we all know each other really well at this point
 


You're on tour!
which show are you most excited for?

lola: july 23 we’re playing at trip six in houston with a bunch of really cool bands and that’s super exciting!
